How Much Wood Could A Wood Chuck Chuck With A Chainsaw?

Last weekend, we had a couple of diseased trees removed. The tree guys we contracted were awesome. They took down the two trees, cut up the trunks for us to utilize as firewood and cleaned up in a little over two hours. The before pic is below:

The big ponderosa pine was about 40 years old and had been cut back over the years as it grew into the power lines. It had recently become diseased along with the smaller one to the right of it. The guys showed up about 8:15 on Saturday Morning and set right to work.

I was amazed at this guy;s climbing ability. Taking down a tree carefully is an art and they had a lot of practice, oh yeah, and some seriously sharp chainsaws.

This was taken literally about 12 minutes from the one above:

The end result:

It's sad to see the trees go, but their departure has opened up things significantly allowing much more light to enter the front of the house and we ended up with about 2 cords of firewood once it dries.
