Quite Possibly The Stupidest Comment Ever
Yesterday, I brought to your attention a proposed "Death to Israel" rally scheduled for 8-30 and how the city's special events coordinator, Shawn McDonough, surmised she couldn't deny the application because of freedom of speech concerns.
Reported today are concerns the Jewish Federation has regarding the proposed rally. Those concerns are completely valid, but the city, especially the police, are brushing aside those concerns and have given the city it's blessing for the event to proceed based on past experience:
But the police department has given its OK to the protest. Spokesman Joe Cyr said the group sponsoring the rally - listed as Center to Prevent Corporate Media Lying -has held demonstrations before. On average, about nine people show, he said. The permit application anticipates between nine and about 130 demonstrators.
Here comes the qoute. Are you ready for your head to explode?
"It's not like they're threatening to kill people," Cyr said. "They're just [expressing] their opinion."

Jon, why do we now use the term "militant or radical islamic ideology" when an ideology represents all those in that culture? Let's call it what it is, Islam wants infidels dead(you and I) and the only reason you don't hear that over here from the "peaceful" muslims is they are in the minority. Keep up the good work.
