Within The Margin Of Error

That's what this graph of a poll conducted last week by Mason Dixon shows.

The article associated to it is here.

In a move that is without surprise to anyone, the Tribune endorses Cannon.

This paragraph from said editorial is laughable:

Cannon could have coasted to the sixth term he now seeks, and perhaps many more, by saying little and doing less about immigration. He could have stuck to important, dull - and often, in our judgment, wrong - positions on taxes, public lands and foreign wars, and basked in the warm glow of incumbency.
Instead, Cannon chose to face the problems of immigration head-on - or at least as head-on as anyone can in a culture where complex policy is debated by bumper-sticker minds.
So here's the sound bite: Cannon does not favor amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Did you hear that? The Tribune thinks that those of us who see the immigration issue in it's current form as willful violation of our laws and seek to make the necessary changes to enforce them as idiots. According to them, we are capable of completely understanding an issue only if it will fit on a bumper sticker. Frankly, I'm insulted. I'm also in awe of their audacity. The largest newspaper in the state just called the vast majority of it subscribers uneducated morons because they disagree with an issue the editorial board fervently believes in. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Regarding the assinine sound bite claim, perhaps the editorial board should have seen this.
